I dirigenti responsabili di AppleTV+ hanno firmato l’ordine per “Dr. Brain“, una serie coreana basata sull’omonima serie web di cartoni animati. In Dr. Brain il protagonista sarà Lee Sun-Kyun, attore da noi conosciuto per il film Parasite; sarà scritto e diretto da Kim Jee-Woon, regista e sceneggiatore sudcoreano.

La serie è descritta come “un viaggio emozionale che segue un neurobiologo ossessionato dalla possibilità di usare le nuove tecnologie per accedere alla coscienza e ai ricordi del cervello”. E ancora. “La sua vita cambierà quando la sua famiglia finirà vittima di un misterioso incidente, decidendo di usare le sue abilità per accedere alla memoria nel cervello della moglie e mettere insieme i pezzi del mistero, capire cosa è successo alla sua famiglia e perché”.

“Dr. Brain” è prodotto dallo studio coreano Bound Entertainment insieme a Kakao Entertainment, Studiplex Dark Circle Pictures. La novità è parte di una crescente serie di novità previste in arrivo su AppleTV+, che includono anche “Pachinko” (adattamento di una novella di Min Jin Lee) e “Masters of the Air” (sequel di “Band of Brothers”, Fratelli al fronte, prodotta da Steven Spielberg e Tom Hanks con la partecipazione della rete HBO nel 2001).
